Just A Minute

Can you answer to the difficult questions in a moment just??? Are you that fast to search the every page of your brain as the fastest of Cache memories do???
If yes, you are welcome to this event. Here you will be given just- a-minute to speak on any topic where you have to present the zig-zag ideas striking your brain in a sequential and understandable manner. Come and participate if you have the guts to prove your brain’s one minute responsding speed.

ABOUT THE EVENT- In this event you will have to speak on a particular topic for exactly one minute.

TOPIC-The topic will be given at the spot.

EVENT LEVELS- There will be only one round.

RULES-

1. The winner will be chosen on the basis of his communication skills, grammar, content and his fluency or the flow in which he/she speaks.

2. The participant won’t be given any extra time to ponder upon the topic.

Introduction-
This event checks your thinking, writing and delivering of ideas about any issue selected for the contest. It comes with two rounds. In the first round, you will be given a topic, write down the thoughts that comes up in your mind and present it to the world in your style.. The most burning thoughts will be selected to go for the next round.
Here you will be given chance to orate it to the audience and the competition lies in the fact which thought will make people go crazy after your thinking and speeching.


RULES-

1.There will be two rounds.

2. FIRST ROUND: BE THE NEXT HARBINGER OF CHANGE

a) Participants will be given forty minutes to write about a topic given to them.
b)The write up should be not more than 250 words.
c)Marks will be deducted for spelling mistakes ,grammatically incorrect sentences.
c)Top ten participants with the most burning thoughts will be selected by the jury members to move to the next round.

3.SECOND ROUND :ENUNCIATE YOUR WORDS
a) In this round each participant will be given fifteen minutes time to prepare for the topic given.
b) The participant will then have to orate their ideas to the audience.
c) Marks will be given based on their oration , content, clarity and writing skill.

4. The voice that will dominate the minds of the audience at the end will be declared as the winner.

5. The registrations will be done on spot.So the participants are required to report atleast one hour before the event commences.

Group Discussion


Do you dominate the wild spirit that entails the thoughts capable of moulding the masses in the direction of your views? If that’s so get ready to walk in to participate in this vie of wizards to reach the supreme!
The senate house has many fields for you to showcase your talents and prove the globe of knowledge that is contained in you.

Introduction-Here in Group Discussion two groups of 10 members each would be created at spot, both favoring the two opposite facets of the topic to be discussed.
The idea in the end that will dominate and seek place in audience’ heads will be the winning face of the topic and so the corresponding team would be the winner team.


RULES-

1. There will be two rounds held between two teams.

2. FIRST ROUND- JUGGLE UP FOR A REPARTEE

a) A topic will be provided for which there will be an open group discussion for 45 minutes.
b) Participants will be provided 10 minutes to prepare themselves for the discussion.
c) 5 students from each group will be selected for the next round by the jury members.

3. SECOUND ROUND:WHO’S THE NEXT DEMAGOGUE

a) Another topic will be provided for which each of the selected 10 participants will be given 2 minutes to present their ideas on ,followed by a 30 minutes open discussion.

4. MARKING SCHEME-

TOTAL MARKS: 50
5. The participant securing the highest marks from both the rounds will be declared as the winner and the corresponding team the winning team.

6. Participants can get themselves registered online for the event latest by 26th of March.

Welcome to I.E.R.T’s very own “BIG FIGHT”…where some of the best thinkers and orators will enable us to see the two sides of the same coin…ofcourse the judges will decide..which side flipped…Presenting to you a plethora of exciting events, get set to be transported to a whole new world to witness the clash of the titans, the battle of the brains, the vie of the wizards, all striving to reach out, reach high and reach beyond the supreme.

So if you think you can bend our thoughts in your direction and broaden our perspective towards the burning issues that have vexed the world..then keep that fire burning in you till you reach our senate house and let this debate competition be the friction that starts the wildfire of change.and metamorphosize its potential into reality.

Introduction- This event can be referred to as ‘The war of words’ or ‘The battle of brains’, where some of the best thinkers and orators will enable us to see the two sides of the same coin. There will be two team of participants, one ‘for’ the motion and the other ‘against’ it.


TOPIC Released –
“The Indian Parliament proposed the women’s reservation bill”. This is not justified in the society, where the women are considered to be at par with the men in almost all fields.


EVENT LEVELS-
There will be only one round.

RULES-

1. The time limit is 4+1 minutes, where each participant will speak for a maximum of 4 minutes.The participant’s marks will be
deducted in case he exceeds the time limit.In the next minute, he will be interrogated by the audience,his opponents and the judges.

2. Cross questioning is not allowed.

3. The participant will be judged on the basis of his oration, content, and the answer to the questions which he gives during the questionnaire.
